Personal Style Project Resume Booklet

For my personal style project I decided to make a resume booklet that almost doubles as a portfolio. I plan to keep this and update it once I graduate and then actually use it! This took FOREVER to make (I restarted a few times too) but it was fun and a new way to be able to present myself. Thank you to Caryn Esplin for this idea!

“Choose a job you love and you’ll never work a day in your life.”. I have been thinking about this quote a lot lately because finding a career keeps getting closer and closer. If I can find a job that is anything like this class, I know that I will never “work” because I will love that job.

My style is simplistic. I love the aesthetic of minimalism and simplicity, Something I tell myself when working on my creative projects is “bigger isn’t always better”. If I am asking myself “what do I do now” the project is most likely done in my eyes.

I chose a creative resume because I am going to be job searching soon and this is a way that I can catch their attention before they even know anything about me. This creative booklet will grab them before they even read my resume.

Besides the amazing photography skills I learned this semester, the most beneficial thing I learned was SEO. I still need to work on it, and I am far from good at it. But I am grateful we learned about it and I am excited to keep using it and learning more about it.

I am grateful for my peers and teachers in this class, as well as the content. But besides what we learned, Im so happy I was able to learn about a potential future career.
